Thanks for the shout out, Jeffrey! I'm very much enjoying the Ghost product so far and I'm excited about the opportunity to control my own destiny. Of course there will be hiccups and challenges -- least of which will be the lack of network effects on my new self-made island -- but I'm looking forward to the journey.
Thank you Amran. Experiments and making changes are the best ways to move everything forward. Excited to learn more from you, and glad you are staying on this platform for the Notes / social aspects.
Such great info! Is the AALA People of Publishing event in Sept (the 17th) on your radar? That’s for publishing professionals including agents, editors, and publishers.
Thank you Sally. And I did not know about the AALA People of Publishing event on Sept 17, 2025 — really great to now have that on my radar and I will add to the industry calendar. Much appreciated!
Fabulous! It was part of the US book show for the past few years as an incubator and now is being run independently by the AALA. As someone who has an insider view to the program, I can confidently say it’s going to be an incredible day of professional development for those who are working IN publishing.
Another informative, helpful post Jeff, thank you! Hope to see you at AWP. I know it will be a whirlwind of a week. Thanks for all you do to uplift authors.
This is such a great post! The amount of publishing events per year is very overwhelming so your calendar is so helpful! And thank you so much for the shout out! Though I must admit, my rewrite was much more chaotic and unhinged than this makes it sound haha
Thank you Noelle. And yes, I am sure the rewrite was extremely chaotic, given how much you accomplished in a such a short period of time. Still, so impressive, and very inspiring. I felt mostly that your post conveyed just how much work and dedication it takes to get a novel into the best shape it can be as the final edit deadline approaches.
Thank you, as always, for the information. And thanks for the shout-out!
Thank you Penny, appreciate you writing and posting about your debut experience. I enjoy learning from it, and am happy to share it.

Thank you very much Allie, too kind, and right back at you. And absolutely will see you at AWP — can't wait to meet in-person!

This is a treasure trove of information! Thank you, Jeffrey. Eagerly reading and taking notes for my 2026 debut...
